Leviticus 23:23-25   And the LORD <03068> spake <01696> (8762) unto Moses <04872>, saying <0559> (8800),

24        Speak <01696> (8761) unto the children <01121> of Israel <03478>, saying <0559> (8800), In the seventh <07637> month <02320>, in the first <0259> day of the month <02320>, shall ye have a sabbath <07677>, a memorial <02146>  of blowing <08643> of trumpets, an holy <06944> convocation <04744>.

25        Ye shall do <06213> (8799) no servile <05656> work <04399> therein: but ye shall offer <07126>  (8689) an offering made by fire <0801> unto the LORD <03068>.

Numbers 10:1-10   And the LORD <03068> spake <01696> (8762) unto Moses <04872>, saying <0559> (8800),

2    Make <06213> (8798) thee two <08147> trumpets <02689> of silver <03701>; of a whole piece <04749>  shalt thou make <06213> (8799) them: that thou mayest use <01961> (8804) them for the calling <04744> of the assembly <05712> , and for the journeying <04550> of the camps <04264>.

3    And when they shall blow <08628> (8804) with them <02004>, all the assembly <05712> shall assemble <03259>  (8738) themselves to thee at the door <06607> of the tabernacle <0168> of the congregation <04150>.

4    And if they blow <08628> (8799) but with one <0259> trumpet, then the princes <05387>, which are heads <07218> of the thousands <0505> of Israel <03478>, shall gather <03259> (8738) themselves unto thee.

5    When ye blow <08628> (8804) an alarm <08643>, then the camps <04264> that lie <02583> (8802) on the east parts <06924> shall go forward <05265> (8804).

6    When ye blow <08628> (8804) an alarm <08643> the second time <08145>, then the camps <04264> that lie <02583>  (8802) on the south side <08486> shall take their journey <05265> (8804): they shall blow <08628> (8799) an alarm <08643> for their journeys <04550>.

7    But when the congregation <06951> is to be gathered together <06950> (8687), ye shall blow <08628> (8799), but ye shall not sound an alarm <07321> (8686).

8    And the sons <01121> of Aaron <0175>, the priests <03548>, shall blow <08628> (8799) with the trumpets  <02689>; and they shall be to you for an ordinance <02708> for ever <05769> throughout your generations <01755>.

9    And if ye go <0935> (8799) to war <04421> in your land <0776> against <06862> the enemy that oppresseth  <06887> (8802) you, then ye shall blow an alarm <07321> (8689) with the trumpets <02689>; and ye shall be remembered <02142>  (8738) before <06440> the LORD <03068> your God <0430>, and ye shall be saved <03467> (8738) from your enemies <0341>  (8802).

10  Also in the day <03117> of your gladness <08057>, and in your solemn days <04150>, and in the beginnings <07218> of your months <02320>, ye shall blow <08628> (8804) with the trumpets <02689> over your burnt offerings <05930>, and over the sacrifices <02077>  of your peace offerings <08002>; that they may be to you for a memorial <02146> before <06440> your God <0430>: I am the LORD  <03068> your God <0430>.

1 Corinthians 14:8     For <1063> <2532> if <1437> the trumpet <4536> give <1325> (5632) an uncertain <82> sound <5456>, who <5101> shall prepare himself <3903> (5695) to <1519> the battle <4171>?

Seven is the end-time number.   The Feast of Trumpets commenced on the first day of the seventh month.   One is the number of origin, the source point, the beginning.   Together, the opening sentence concerning the Feasts of the Lord, reveal that its anti-typical fulfillment heralds the beginning of the end-time!

Psalm 102:18   This shall be written <03789> (8735) for the generation <01755> to come <0314>: and the people <05971> which shall be created <01254> (8737) shall praise <01984> (8762) the LORD <03050>.

Matthew 24:32-34   Now <1161> learn <3129> (5628) a parable <3850> of <575> the fig tree <4808>; When <3752>  his <846> branch <2798> is <1096> (5638) yet <2235> tender <527>, and <2532> putteth forth <1631>  (5725) leaves <5444>, ye know <1097> (5719) that <3754> summer <2330> is nigh <1451>:

33  So <3779> likewise <2532> ye <5210>, when <3752> ye shall see <1492> (5632) all <3956>  these things <5023>, know <1097> (5719) that <3754> it is <2076> (5748) near <1451>, even at <1909>  the doors <2374>. {it: or, he}

34  Verily <281> I say <3004> (5719) unto you <5213>, This <3778> generation <1074> shall not  <3364> pass <3928> (5632), till <302> <2193> all <3956> these things <5023> be fulfilled <1096> (5638) .

Genesis 6:3   And the LORD <03068> said <0559> (8799), My spirit <07307> shall not       always <05769> strive <01777>  (8799) with man <0120>, for that he also <01571>       (8677) <07683> (8800) is flesh <01320>: yet his days  <03117> shall be an hundred       <03967> and twenty <06242> years <08141>.

As with many prophecies in the Bible, there are a variety of stages of  application in their fulfillment.   So it is here.   The Feast of Trumpets has an application on the Day of Pentecost, Martin Luther [1517], 1948, and the ultimate application lies in the immediate future.

The Feast of Trumpets began in 1948.   The Truths restored to the church at this time were:

The Restoration of Lost Years

Joel 2:25   And I will restore <07999> (8765) to you the years <08141> that the locust <0697> hath eaten <0398> (8804) , the cankerworm <03218>, and the caterpiller <02625>, and the palmerworm <01501>, my great <01419> army <02428> which I sent  <07971> (8765) among you.

The Revelation of the Body of Christ

1 Corinthians 12:12   For <1063> as <2509> the body <4983> is <2076> (5748) one <1520>, and <2532> hath  <2192> (5719) many <4183> members <3196>, and <1161> all <3956> the members <3196> of that one <1520> body <4983>, being <5607> (5752) many <4183>, are <2076> (5748) one <1520> body <4983>: so <3779>  also <2532> is Christ <5547>.

Christ is the Head of the Body

Colossians 1:18   And <2532> he <846> is <2076> (5748) the head <2776> of the body       <4983>, the church <1577> : who <3739> is <2076> (5748) the beginning <746>,           the firstborn <4416> from <1537> the dead <3498>; that  <2443> in <1722> all <3956> things he <846> might have <1096> (5638) the preeminence <4409>     (5723) . {in…: or, among all}

The Five-fold Ascension Gift Ministries

Ephesians 4:11-15   And <2532> he <846> gave <1325> (5656) some <3303>, apostles <652>; and <1161> some, prophets <4396>; and <1161> some, evangelists <2099>; and <1161> some, pastors <4166> and <2532> teachers <1320>;

 12  For <4314> the perfecting <2677> of the saints <40>, for <1519> the work <2041> of the ministry <1248> , for <1519> the edifying <3619> of the body <4983> of Christ <5547>:

13  Till <3360> we all <3956> come <2658> (5661) in <1519> the unity <1775> of the faith <4102> , and <2532> of the knowledge <1922> of the Son <5207> of God <2316>, unto <1519> a perfect <5046> man <435> , unto <1519> the measure <3358> of the stature <2244> of the fulness <4138> of Christ <5547>: {in: or, into}  {stature: or, age}

14  That <2443> we henceforth be <5600> (5753) no more <3371> children <3516>, tossed to and fro <2831>  (5740), and <2532> carried about with <4064> (5746) every <3956> wind <417> of doctrine <1319>, by  <1722> the sleight <2940> of men <444>, and cunning craftiness <1722> <3834>, whereby <4314> they lie in wait <3180>  to deceive <4106>;

15  But <1161> speaking the truth <226> (5723) in <1722> love <26>, may grow up <837> (5661)  into <1519> him <846> in all things <3956>, which <3739> is <2076> (5748) the head <2776>, even Christ <5547>: {speaking…: or, being sincere}

The Restoration of the Gifts of the Spirit

1 Corinthians 12:8-10   For <1063> to one <3739> <3303> is given <1325> (5743) by <1223> the Spirit <4151> the word <3056> of wisdom <4678>; <1161> to another <243> the word <3056> of knowledge <1108> by <2596> the same  <846> Spirit <4151>;

9  <1161> To another <2087> faith <4102> by <1722> the same <846> Spirit <4151>; <1161> to another <243> the gifts <5486> of healing <2386> by <1722> the same <846> Spirit <4151>;

10  <1161> To another <243> the working <1755> of miracles <1411>; <1161> to another <243> prophecy <4394>; <1161> to another <243> discerning <1253> of spirits <4151>; <1161> to another <2087> divers kinds <1085> of tongues <1100>; <1161> to another <243> the interpretation <2058> of tongues <1100>:

The Apostles Doctrine and the First Principles

Acts 2:42   And <1161> they continued <2258> (5713) stedfastly <4342> (5723) in the apostles <652>‘ doctrine <1322> and <2532> fellowship <2842>, and <2532> in breaking <2800> of bread <740>, and <2532> in prayers <4335> .

Hebrews 6:1, 2   Therefore <1352> leaving <863> (5631) the principles <746> of the doctrine <3056> of Christ <5547> , let us go on <5342> (5747) unto <1909> perfection <5047>; not <3361> laying <2598> (5734) again <3825>  the foundation <2310> of repentance <3341> from <575> dead <3498> works <2041>, and <2532> of faith <4102> toward <1909> God <2316>, {principles…: or, word of the beginning of}

2    Of the doctrine <1322> of baptisms <909>, and <5037> of laying on <1936> of   hands <5495>, and <5037>  of resurrection <386> of the dead <3498>, and <2532>           of eternal <166> judgment <2917>.

The Present Truth of the Laying on of Hands   [No Truth Has Been Restored to the Church Since 1948]

2 Peter 1:12   Wherefore <1352> I will <272> <0> not <3756> be negligent <272> (5692) to put <5279>  <0> you <5209> always <104> in remembrance <5279>            (5721) of <4012> these things <5130>, though <2539>  ye know <1492> (5761)            them, and <2532> be established <4741> (5772) in <1722> the present <3918>       (5752)  truth <225>.

The Lord's Table and Discerning the Lord's Body

1 Corinthians 11:23-30   For <1063> I <1473> have received <3880> (5627) of <575> the Lord <2962> that which <3739>  also <2532> I delivered <3860> (5656) unto you <5213>, That <3754> the Lord <2962> Jesus <2424> the same  night <3571> in <1722> which <3739> he was betrayed <3860> (5712) took <2983> (5627) bread <740> :

24  And <2532> when he had given thanks <2168> (5660), he brake <2806> (5656) it, and <2532>  said <2036> (5627), Take <2983> (5628), eat <5315> (5628): this <5124> is <2076> (5748) my <3450> body <4983>, which <3588> is broken <2806> (5746) for <5228> you <5216>: this <5124> do  <4160> (5720) in <1519> remembrance <364> of me <1699>. {in…: or, for a remembrance}

25  After the same manner <5615> also <2532> he took the cup <4221>, when <3326> he had supped <1172>  (5658), saying <3004> (5723), This <5124> cup <4221> is <2076> (5748) the new <2537> testament <1242>  in <1722> my <1699> blood <129>: this <5124> do ye <4160> (5720), as oft as <3740> <302> ye drink <4095> (5725) it, in <1519> remembrance <364> of me <1699>.

26  For <1063> as often as <302> <3740> ye eat <2068> (5725) this <5126> bread <740>, and <2532> drink <4095> (5725) this <5124> cup <4221>, ye do shew <2605> (5719) the Lord’s <2962> death <2288> till <891> <302> he <3739> come <2064> (5632). {ye do…: or, shew ye}

27  Wherefore <5620> whosoever <3739> <302> shall eat <2068> (5725) this <5126> bread <740> , and <2228> drink <4095> (5725) this cup <4221> of the Lord <2962>, unworthily <371>, shall be <2071> (5704) guilty <1777> of the body <4983> and <2532> blood <129> of the Lord <2962>.

28  But <1161> let <1381> <0> a man <444> examine <1381> (5720) himself <1438>, and  <2532> so <3779> let him eat <2068> (5720) of <1537> that bread <740>, and <2532> drink <4095>  (5720) of <1537> that cup <4221>.

29  For <1063> he that eateth <2068> (5723) and <2532> drinketh <4095> (5723) unworthily <371> , eateth <2068> (5719) and <2532> drinketh <4095> (5719) damnation <2917> to himself <1438>, not <3361>  discerning <1252> (5723) the Lord’s <2962> body <4983>. {damnation: or, judgment}

30  For <1223> <0> this <5124> cause <1223> many <4183> are weak <772> and <2532>  sickly <732> among <1722> you <5213>, and <2532> many <2425> sleep <2837> (5743).

Clear, Distinct Messages Had to be Sounded

Revelation 2:29    He that hath <2192> (5723) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657)       what <5101> the Spirit  <4151> saith <3004> (5719) unto the churches <1577>.

Mark 4:23, 24    If any man <1536> have <2192> (5719) ears <3775> to hear <191> (5721), let him hear <191> (5720).

24  And <2532> he said <3004> (5707) unto them <846>, Take heed <991> (5720) what       <5101>  ye hear <191> (5719): with <1722> what <3739> measure <3358> ye mete       <3354> (5719), it shall be measured <3354>  (5701) to you <5213>: and <2532>       unto you <5213> that hear <191> (5723) shall more be given <4369>  (5701).

What has to do with quantity.

Luke 8:18   Take heed <991> (5720) therefore <3767> how <4459> ye hear <191>       (5719): for <1063> whosoever <3739> <302> hath <2192> (5725), to him <846>       shall be given <1325> (5701); and <2532> whosoever <3739> <302> hath <2192>       (5725) not <3361>, from <575> him <846> shall be taken <142> (5701)  even     <2532> that which <3739> he seemeth <1380> (5719) to have <2192> (5721).           {seemeth…: or, thinketh that he hath}

How has to do with quality.

The Bible teaches that the Christian has two sets of ears.   He has natural ears.   He also has ears in his spirit.   It is in relation to the last pair of ears that the Lord Jesus is speaking in the foregoing Scriptures.   It is imperative that the believer hear the message that is spoken by the Spirit.   It is vitally important that it be understood.

Fifteen times did the Lord Jesus utter the statement, He That Hath Ears to Hear Let Him Hear.   Seven occurrences took place on earth during the days of His earthly ministry.   These references are:

Matthew 11:15   He that hath <2192> (5723) ears <3775> to hear <191> (5721), let him       hear <191> (5720).

Matthew 13:9   Who <3588> hath <2192> (5723) ears <3775> to hear <191> (5721), let    him hear <191> (5720).

Matthew 13:43   Then <5119> shall the righteous <1342> shine forth <1584> (5692) as       <5613> the sun <2246> in  <1722> the kingdom <932> of their <846> Father      <3962>. Who <3588> hath <2192> (5723) ears <3775> to hear <191> (5721), let      him hear <191> (5720).

Mark 4:23    If any man <1536> have <2192> (5719) ears <3775> to hear <191> (5721),    let him hear <191> (5720).

Mark 7:16    If any man <1536> have <2192> (5719) ears <3775> to hear <191> (5721),    let him hear <191> (5720).

Luke 8:8     And <2532> other <2087> fell <4098> (5627) on <1909> good <18> ground       <1093>, and  <2532> sprang up <5453> (5651), and bare <4160> (5656) fruit    <2590> an hundredfold <1542>. And when he had said  <3004> (5723) these things         <5023>, he cried <5455> (5707), He that hath <2192> (5723) ears <3775> to hear       <191> (5721), let him hear <191> (5720).

Luke 14:35    It is <2076> (5748) neither <3777> fit <2111> for <1519> the land     <1093>, nor yet <3777>  for <1519> the dunghill <2874>; but men cast <906>            (5719) it <846> out <1854>. He that hath <2192>  (5723) ears <3775> to hear <191> (5721), let him hear <191> (5720).

These words were never uttered by a human being!

The following seven are found in the concluding statements by the Lord to each of the seven churches in the Book of Revelation.   These references are:

Revelation 2:7   He that hath <2192> (5723) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657)       what <5101> the Spirit  <4151> saith <3004> (5719) unto the churches <1577>; To         him <846> that overcometh <3528> (5723) will I give <1325>  (5692) to eat <5315>       (5629) of <1537> the tree <3586> of life <2222>, which <3739> is <2076>  (5748)      in <1722> the midst <3319> of the paradise <3857> of God <2316>.

Revelation 2:11   He that hath <2192> (5723) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657)         what <5101> the Spirit  <4151> saith <3004> (5719) unto the churches <1577>; He       that overcometh <3528> (5723) shall <91> <0> not  <3364> be hurt <91> (5686) of        <1537> the second <1208> death <2288>.

Revelation 2:17   He that hath <2192> (5723) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657)       what <5101> the Spirit  <4151> saith <3004> (5719) unto the churches <1577>; To         him <846> that overcometh <3528> (5723) will I give <1325>  (5692) to eat <5315>       (5629) of <575> the hidden <2928> (5772) manna <3131>, and <2532> will give          <1325> (5692) him <846> a white <3022> stone <5586>, and <2532> in <1909> the            stone <5586> a new  <2537> name <3686> written <1125> (5772), which <3739>    no man <3762> knoweth <1097> (5627) saving  <1508> he that receiveth <2983>        (5723) it.

Revelation 2:29    He that hath <2192> (5723) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657)       what <5101> the Spirit  <4151> saith <3004> (5719) unto the churches <1577>.

Revelation 3:6    He that hath <2192> (5723) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657)       what <5101> the Spirit  <4151> saith <3004> (5719) unto the churches <1577>.

Revelation 3:13   He that hath <2192> (5723) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657)       what <5101> the Spirit  <4151> saith <3004> (5719) unto the churches <1577>.

Revelation 3:22   He that hath <2192> (5723) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657)       what <5101> the Spirit  <4151> saith <3004> (5719) unto the churches <1577>.

The final time this phrase is used is in:

Revelation 13:9   If any man <1536> have <2192> (5719) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657); immediately following the section where the beast makes war with the saints and overcomes them!

33  So <3779> likewise <2532> ye <5210>, when <3752> ye shall see <1492> (5632) all <3956>  these things <5023>, know <1097> (5719) that <3754> it is <2076> (5748) near <1451>, even at <1909>  the doors <2374>. {it: or, he}

Colossians 1:18   And <2532> he <846> is <2076> (5748) the head <2776> of the body       <4983>, the church <1577> : who <3739> is <2076> (5748) the beginning <746>,           the firstborn <4416> from <1537> the dead <3498>; that  <2443> in <1722> all <3956> things he <846> might have <1096> (5638) the preeminence <4409>     (5723) . {in…: or, among all}

The Five-fold Ascension Gift Ministries

Ephesians 4:11-15   And <2532> he <846> gave <1325> (5656) some <3303>, apostles <652>; and <1161> some, prophets <4396>; and <1161> some, evangelists <2099>; and <1161> some, pastors <4166> and <2532> teachers <1320>;

 12  For <4314> the perfecting <2677> of the saints <40>, for <1519> the work <2041> of the ministry <1248> , for <1519> the edifying <3619> of the body <4983> of Christ <5547>:

13  Till <3360> we all <3956> come <2658> (5661) in <1519> the unity <1775> of the faith <4102> , and <2532> of the knowledge <1922> of the Son <5207> of God <2316>, unto <1519> a perfect <5046> man <435> , unto <1519> the measure <3358> of the stature <2244> of the fulness <4138> of Christ <5547>: {in: or, into}  {stature: or, age}

14  That <2443> we henceforth be <5600> (5753) no more <3371> children <3516>, tossed to and fro <2831>  (5740), and <2532> carried about with <4064> (5746) every <3956> wind <417> of doctrine <1319>, by  <1722> the sleight <2940> of men <444>, and cunning craftiness <1722> <3834>, whereby <4314> they lie in wait <3180>  to deceive <4106>;

15  But <1161> speaking the truth <226> (5723) in <1722> love <26>, may grow up <837> (5661)  into <1519> him <846> in all things <3956>, which <3739> is <2076> (5748) the head <2776>, even Christ <5547>: {speaking…: or, being sincere}

The Restoration of the Gifts of the Spirit

1 Corinthians 12:8-10   For <1063> to one <3739> <3303> is given <1325> (5743) by <1223> the Spirit <4151> the word <3056> of wisdom <4678>; <1161> to another <243> the word <3056> of knowledge <1108> by <2596> the same  <846> Spirit <4151>;

9  <1161> To another <2087> faith <4102> by <1722> the same <846> Spirit <4151>; <1161> to another <243> the gifts <5486> of healing <2386> by <1722> the same <846> Spirit <4151>;

Hebrews 6:1, 2   Therefore <1352> leaving <863> (5631) the principles <746> of the doctrine <3056> of Christ <5547> , let us go on <5342> (5747) unto <1909> perfection <5047>; not <3361> laying <2598> (5734) again <3825>  the foundation <2310> of repentance <3341> from <575> dead <3498> works <2041>, and <2532> of faith <4102> toward <1909> God <2316>, {principles…: or, word of the beginning of}

24  And <2532> when he had given thanks <2168> (5660), he brake <2806> (5656) it, and <2532>  said <2036> (5627), Take <2983> (5628), eat <5315> (5628): this <5124> is <2076> (5748) my <3450> body <4983>, which <3588> is broken <2806> (5746) for <5228> you <5216>: this <5124> do  <4160> (5720) in <1519> remembrance <364> of me <1699>. {in…: or, for a remembrance}

26  For <1063> as often as <302> <3740> ye eat <2068> (5725) this <5126> bread <740>, and <2532> drink <4095> (5725) this <5124> cup <4221>, ye do shew <2605> (5719) the Lord’s <2962> death <2288> till <891> <302> he <3739> come <2064> (5632). {ye do…: or, shew ye}

29  For <1063> he that eateth <2068> (5723) and <2532> drinketh <4095> (5723) unworthily <371> , eateth <2068> (5719) and <2532> drinketh <4095> (5719) damnation <2917> to himself <1438>, not <3361>  discerning <1252> (5723) the Lord’s <2962> body <4983>. {damnation: or, judgment}

Luke 8:18   Take heed <991> (5720) therefore <3767> how <4459> ye hear <191>       (5719): for <1063> whosoever <3739> <302> hath <2192> (5725), to him <846>       shall be given <1325> (5701); and <2532> whosoever <3739> <302> hath <2192>       (5725) not <3361>, from <575> him <846> shall be taken <142> (5701)  even     <2532> that which <3739> he seemeth <1380> (5719) to have <2192> (5721).           {seemeth…: or, thinketh that he hath}

The final time this phrase is used is in:

Revelation 13:9   If any man <1536> have <2192> (5719) an ear <3775>, let him hear <191> (5657); immediately following the section where the beast makes war with the saints and overcomes them!
